Justin and Sean were professional, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain their findings to me and answer my numerous questions. The report they produced is layer out in an orderly fashion is easy to read and understand, and just as importantly will provide a useful roadmap for my contractors.

Comprehensive home inspection with an understandible report that highlighted what the issues were and how they should be tackled.

This review is much overdue. I bought my home about a year ago, and the home passed with flying colors. At first, I was very happy bc Ryan appeared to take his time and answered all the questions. We are over 80K into repair and are not done yet. He said the master shower was good, but the master shower was not draining and leaking into the ceiling. He assured me everything was dry pertaining to the master shower. Buchanan Restoration came in and, within minutes, stated something is going on under the master shower floor. He said the roof was good several times, but the roof had hail damage with an extensive leak. He missed the massive roof leak over the children's bedrooms. That leak riddled all 8 closets and 2 bedroom ceilings with mold and mildew. In each closet, I thought it was possibly wallpaper glue due to the texture. It was yellow, spotted mold, and mildew. He did not see it in any of the closets. He never suggested a mold inspection when this area is so highly known for mold. In addition, the crawl space dehumidifier was not functioning appropriately. We installed a new dehumidifier a few months after moving in. He stated the garage door was old but worked. The garage door did work, but once again, water was seeping under the door every time it rained. There was a room in the garage built by a previous owner not vented appropriately, and mold was in the room. The room has been ripped out.He stated that the a/c and heat were working even though old, but the entire system was replaced a month after moving in the same as the roof. 2 bathrooms have been ripped out and remodeled due to plumbing issues. We are not done yet and feel very deceived. The only thing to protect the home buyer in NC is the home inspector. I feel screwed over on our retirement home, and I would NEVER would have BOUGHT a home like this. This home was presented as a well-kept, older home that just needed some updates and few repairs. Our savings is decimated. We still have to get the mold out of all the closets and ceilings. I can say mold bc it was tested by a healthier home.Ryan did catch the toilet and sink leaking in the half bath and the rotted columns in the front of the house.Ryan missed an integral part of the home structure. Part of the cinder block wall was destroyed to install central a/c, but don't worry, there is nothing supporting 1/8 of a foundational wall and stairs. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
